Views on Erickson Psychosocial theory of development

Erick Erickson proposes his theory about the development of human personality and in his theory, the main component he uses was social interaction. Erick said the social environment changes our personality with time. Erick also proposes the 8 stages in his theory with brief examples.

As a student of psychology when I study Erick I also agree with his some points but I do also disagree at some point like I agree that environment and social interaction affect our personality but also our genetics, culture, and family background also affect our personality. Also, Erick explains the stages with the fixed ages and character of the individual besides he fails to explain in detail how this theory can affect or how the failure of the stage can affect our personality. These some points click in my mind while studying this thoery.
